One icon had to represent four competing payment brands and earn shoppers’ trust in a single glance.
The icon had to convey security, speed and a card-centric idea, while staying neutral across networks. It also had to be clear and recognizable at very small sizes, from checkout buttons to “Pay with” and “Powered by” badges.
Final thoughts
Secure Remote Commerce now has a simple sign that tells shoppers everything they need to know: your payment is safe, and it’s fast.
After an extensive exploration of concepts around security, speed and the card itself, a card shape with forward-moving chevrons came together with a precise construction grid, multiple stroke weights and a set of badges that work alongside Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
